I took these about two weeks ago, in Cişmigiu Park. I thought I should post them before it starts to snow 🙂
The aftermath of the “rainy” season – two weeks of rain – can still be seen in Cişmigiu Park.
And if we linger a little bit more in Cişmigiu Park, waiting for the dark, we can catch a glimpse of the lighted back of Kretzulescu Palace.
More than two years ago I wrote a post about Romania’s “national poet”, Mihai Eminescu. Here he is again, imortalized by this bust part of the Writer’s Rotunda in Cişmigiu Park.
November 10th, 2010.
Today’s posting ends a long period of time that has gone by without any daily photos. This time I do have an excuse – other than not having time or being lazy 🙂 – and that is that I’ve been away from Bucharest since the beginning of August. I miss home a lot and I’m looking forward to returning at the end of December. As you probably guessed already today’s photo is from my archives. This year I’ve missed the entire fall season in my city. I took the photo last year (2010) around mid-November in Cișmigiu Park.
Yes, I know, it’s another of my Cişmigiu photos, but I can’t help it, I love this park. Everytime I pass through it I have to stop and take a photo 🙂
Another shot from my favorite park, Cişmigiu. The red truck was featured on this blog before, with the occasion of a Theme Day.
It was brought to my attention that even though I posted numerous photos from Cişmigiu Park here on the blog, I’ve never shown you the nicest attraction in the park, more exactly the artificial lake. During the winter the lake is without water and part of it turns into an ice skating rink but from spring to autumn the lake is filled with water and one can hire boats to row on the lake.
The exotic birds are back in Cişmigiu Park, including this beautiful white peacock which seemed to be the center of attention when I passed by.
